All About the Band Formed
in 1982 , the Marching Koalas have become known nationally and
internationally for their music and entertainment. The band members are
young . enthusiastic people who love to perform and entertain. The band
travels to music festivals and events all over the worls and have
played in all Disneyland theme parks in the world except for the newest
, Hong Kong. We offer members a unique musical experience in a friendly , supportive setting giving opportunities to perform in many interesting places. Major
Events in the Band’s History. *Formed in 1982
*1984 - Tour of USA - Pasadena Rose Parade *1985 - Tour of Japan - NSW Government Trade Fair and Exhibition in Tokyo - Tokyo Disneyland. *1987 - UK Tour - Britain / Australia BiCentenary celebrations - performances at the Royal Tournament, Portsmouth , London and the Royal Chelsea Hospital, Whitby, Newcastle Upon Tyne and Edinburgh. *1988 - Australia’s BiCentennary celebrations - Bicentenary Parade , Royal Spectacular Performance before their Royal Highnesses The Prince and Princess of Wales , Sydney Opera House Royal Performance Welcome Ceremony for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Welcome Concert for the Duke and Duchess of York , BiCentennary Test Cricket Matches, World Expo at Brisbane as NSW Government and Qantas representatives, The Bicentenary Air Expo at Richmond Airfield. *1989 - Canada - Calgary Stampede and Exhibition winners of 5 major prizes and trophies 1992 - USA - Pasadena Rose Parade and with top 6 bands at the Band Fest in Pasadena *1994 - Tour of Canada and the Calgary Stampede *1996 - Tour of New Zealand *1998 - Tour of East and West USA - performing at Disneyworld and Universal Studios, Florida, Disneyland Calif *2000 - Tour of Europe , UK , Canada . *2002- Winner -"Ambassadors to the Hunter" *2003- tour of Italy and the 7th World Marching Show Bands Championships at Monza - PARADE , MARCHING AND FIELD SHOW. and to Disneyland and California Adventure" *2006/7 - Toured the USA and performed in the Pasadena Tournament of Roses "ROSE PARADE" as members of the Australian Southern Stars Band JOIN US IN THE NEXT ADVENTURE SOON JOIN
